Please see below for an invitation to attend the unveiling of the project. The International Rescue Committee proudly invites you to the unveiling of its Aquaponics Incubator Farm at 1616 West Camelback Rd Phoenix, AZ 85015. As a valued partner, please join us as we unveil our new greenhouse and aquaponics unit, provide a tour of the property and cast the exciting vision for future of the project. As one of its newest urban renewal projects in Central Phoenix, IRC’s Aquaponics Incubator Farm is a multi-purpose agricultural facility serving the greater Phoenix area. The project is in line with Reinvent PHX and the Solano District Revitalization Master Plan for the Camelback Corridor, and we are proud to help move that vision forward for the City of Phoenix with this development. The facility will serve as a training center to educate clients on aquaponics agriculture techniques and microenterprise, and bring healthy fruits, vegetables, and fish to the community at large including local residents, farmers markets and restaurants. The master plan features greenhouse, aquaponics units, a cold kitchen and training space, walk-in cold storage, retail space and a large solar panel installation. Special thanks to the Steele Foundation for their generous support of the project as we could not have done this without your support. The event will be on Thursday April 21st 2016 at 10:30 am with light snacks and drinks provided. Parking can be found on the site and also in the parking lot across the street. Please RSVP to Caleb Stephens and caleb.stephens@rescue.org or call 602-761-9205.
