Yard Signs

These are metal signs on metal stakes, ready to drop in your yard!

Concept: they tell bad guys that residents report what happens in their neighborhood.

Result: the bad guys go somewhere else.

Pierson Place has very low crime because residents report suspicious activity.

They work by motivating the bad guys to go away. They are a simple and easy way to reduce crime.

They are free to Pierson Place residents, provided by your neighborhood association.

This quote from the City of Phoenix website explains Block Watch:

This is a simple program of neighbors watching out for each other. It is designed to enlist the active participation of citizens in cooperation with the police to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.

Block Watch Brochure
  • It is becoming acquainted with your neighbors.
  • It is working together to identify and solve problems in our community.
  • It is helping the police by being aware of and reporting any unusual activities as they occur.
  • It is the implementation of crime prevention techniques to enhance home security.
  • It is putting neighbors back into the neighborhoods.
  • It is not apprehending someone. Leave that to the police!

Reduce crime in our neighborhood by joining and promoting the Block Watch program, and report all criminal activity to the Phoenix Police Department.
